15 DAYS tells the story of America’s pandemic school closures through the children, families, teachers and doctors who lived them. Director Natalya Murakhver led the parent lawsuit to reopen New York City’s public schools, then spent three years recording nearly 60 voices from across the country.

The film features NIH Director Dr. Jay Bhattacharya, Dr. Scott Atlas, Dr. Tracy Beth Høeg, former NPR education reporter Anya Kamenetz and families from coast to coast. It shows what children lost, what the science said at the time, and why schools stayed closed for so long.

Why your gift matters: Many children spent more than 500 days away from their classrooms. Your gift carries their story to more towns, schools, libraries and lawmakers, and keeps the record for the next generation.

What your gift does:

  • $25 pays for outreach materials for a local screening

  • $100 helps fund a community screening

  • $225 sponsors a classroom screening with discussion materials

  • $350 funds one complete community screening

  • $1,000 sponsors screenings in several towns

  • $5,000 helps build the permanent 15 DAYS archive of every voice in the film
